Trauma-informed bodywork is done fully clothed, on a massage table, in a chair, or on the floor. Trauma-informed bodywork increases body awareness, and teaches clients to be embodied, present, and compassionate in their bodies. The presence of another while sensing into pain, discomfort, blocked emotions or energy creates space for transformation, empowerment, and the connection we are all hardwired for that is necessary for healing. Trauma-informed bodywork empowers the client in their own healing journey and gives them knowledge and tools to use outside of the therapy session

The Safe and Sound Protocol created by Dr. Stephen Porges, is a listening system designed to increase vagal tone and deactivate the sympathetic nervous system, moving us out of fight, flight, and freeze and into social engagement where we feel safe, grounded, and better able to handle what life brings us. The Safe and Sound Protocol is a series of 11 one-hour sessions. Clients work on what is discusses in each session on their own at home.

Trauma-Informed Yoga therapy is for whole-body wellness and is a systematic science of rehabilitation that uses physical poses, breathing, meditation, and self-awareness to bring the body, mind, and breath into balance with the simultaneous awareness that much of the dysfunction in the body and mind is from previous unresolved stress and trauma. TIYT gets to the source of the dysfunction. Done in one-on-one sessions, each client is met where they are at, supported in their healing goals, and is given practices to do at home to empower and propel them on their path towards wellness and overcoming the effects of trauma. Previous unresolved trauma can often be the source of chronic pain, injuries, and disease. Learning to self-regulate our nervous systems helps to overcome triggers and long held trauma and tension in the body and mind.
